HARBERT COLLEGE OF BUSINESS
FEBRUARY 2018 - FEBRUARY 2019
As the Vice President for the College of Business, I appointed incoming students in Business Council and worked with them to create a philanthropy for the college. This philanthropy worked with Auburn students to donate professional clothing to other young adults in need of suits, button downs, and ties. We worked with the administration to give student perspectives during the process of hiring a new dean and new professors. Under my leadership, the Business Council worked closely with the interim dean and local business leaders to host monthly workshops, keynote speakers, and networking events for students.

NEW GRADUATE BUILDING
As Vice President of the College of Business, a portion of my time was allocated to representing student perspectives, wants and needs for the new graduate building. It will be the new student hub for interactions, presentations, career fairs, and online class environments. We spent the majority of our time representing student perspectives to interior designers, architects, and project developers for Auburn's new graduate building. I was the voice of students by offering feedback throughout the design process. This leadership opportunity provided me with the opportunity to connect with the various companies helping Auburn University. This gave me first world knowledge of a working environment and what is required for a project to be successful.
WHAT IS EXECUTIVE SOCIETY?
The Executive Society serves as the official ambassadors for the College of Business, meeting the needs of our Deans, alumni, and potential future students. Our duties range from giving high school students tours of the college to attending the annual gala with Auburn alumni. Each month we bring in famous alumni to discuss the life advice or career tips they wish they learned earlier in life. We also meet monthly for networking events to meet other involved students in similar programs on campus.
We work many events and require members to know the ins and outs of the complex changes of the College of Business. Executive Society is the main link for students, administration and other student organizations to know new information within the college. You can find at least one of us in the ES office in Lowder helping students and getting coffee hourly.
